We offer two locations on Pleasure Island to make picking up your golf cart rental less of a hassle and extend deliveries to Oak Island, Southport, Wrightsville Beach, Ocean Isle, and Holden Beach.

SunFun Rentals was started in the summer of 2014 in Carolina Beach, North Carolina, by owners Dean and Sheila Embler. Their ideas were to offer a variety of services to locals, tourists, and anyone interested in golf carts rentals, service, and sales.

Since then, SunFun rentals has expanded their brand and are additionally licensed dealers of brand new-right off the showroom floor AdvancedEVs that ensures amazing reliability and long-term durability.

A Lifesaver

Having a cart really added to our stay at the beach! Not all entertainment options were available because of COVID and it rained so the cart provided much-needed relief from cabin fever and the children in our group loved riding in it. Since they are street legal the children were all secure and safe and it really provided a fun experience for them. It was also a tremendous help getting our gear to and from the beach. Checking it out and in was simple and all the staff were friendly and helpful! We will definitely have carts every trip from this point on!

I am a resident of Ocean Isle Beach. I have Spent time checking out other local rental companies and I can honestly say that after discovering SunFun rentals, I will never take my business anywhere else. They are fair, incredibly kind and the equipment they provide is top of the line from performance to cleanliness when delivered. You will not be disappointed no matter what cart you decide to rent, but I highly suggest the "Elite Electric Lifted Cart" I rent these carts from them when I visit our home on the island by myself or when we host large groups of 12 or more. Awesome overall experience!

GREAT company to rent from! I called up and spoke with Steven at the Kure Beach location. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and explained all of the options. I rented a 4 person Elite lifted golf cart for a week and the entire family had a blast trekking around Kure Beach and to and from Carolina Beach to eat and shop. I did run into a small issue for which Shannon was excellent on the back end and resolved in a timely and professional manner. Awesome overall experience! Rent with these folks!

SunFun Stepped Up!

I didn't get to have the 4-passenger golf cart due to the accidents of others, and Sunfun stepped up, got me 2 of the two seater golf carts and helped me along the way. They were very courteous and respectful and conducted amazing business going above and beyond to accommodate us when they were having difficulty themselves. I would recommend them to anyone.
